Virtual Recovery & Sober Support
Recovery coaching grounded in clarity, steadiness, and sustainable change for real life.
Service Description
Yellowhammer Therapy offers recovery and sober coaching for those moving through change — whether you are steady in long-term recovery, quietly questioning your relationship with substances or behaviours, or finding yourself circling familiar ground again. Recovery is rarely linear. It bends. It pauses. It revisits old terrain. There is no judgement here — even if relapse has become patterned, even if you are tired of beginning again. We work with clarity and steadiness, not shame. For some, full sobriety is the destination. For others, the work begins with harm reduction, symptom stabilisation, and a more conscious relationship with what soothes, numbs, or disrupts. Sobriety may become the goal, but it does not have to be the starting point. Weekly 40-minute sessions are structured and intentional. We focus on a defined quality-of-life goal that matters to you: understanding the function of a behaviour, strengthening emotional sobriety, consolidating recovery skills, supporting sobriety from eating disorders or compulsive patterns, or navigating a life transition such as loss, relocation, career change, or identity shift. Compulsive or self-defeating behaviours are rarely random. They regulate something. They protect something. Together, we examine what the behaviour is doing for you, what it is costing you, and what alternatives are viable. This is practical, strategic work — mapping triggers, identifying decision points, strengthening distress tolerance, and building repeatable structures that support stability. Support typically unfolds over approximately three months — long enough to generate traction and measurable change, contained enough to remain focused. You leave with defined strategies, relapse-prevention plans, and a clearer internal framework for decision-making. This is structured support: grounded, accountable, and evidence-informed. But it is delivered with compassion. A steady presence while you recalibrate, rebuild, and find your footing again. The aim is autonomy, not dependence. By the end of the engagement, you should feel clearer, steadier, and more capable of sustaining your recovery in a way that aligns with your values and your life.
